Nov 7, 2012 9:50 AM in response to gdgmacguyby JdeJ,This is not entirely true, I went to my service provider today and they said that its "almost 90% sure" its a hardware issue on iPhone 5. I used hotspot on the same account perfectly with iPhone 4 - not working since I upgraded to iPhone 5, and perhaps even iOS6....

Nov 7, 2012 9:53 AM in response to JdeJby rusher2004,Are you using USB, wi-fi or Bluetooth for Personal Hotspot?
-
Nov 7, 2012 9:57 AM in response to rusher2004by JdeJ,wi-fi and/or bluetooth. I just did a hardboot, hotspot option was off, turned it on - seconds later the now famous notifcation ops up to contact my service provider (who earlier insists it may be a h/w problem which I am hoping its not)

Nov 24, 2012 5:38 AM in response to Niyaasveecyby ggilliam,AT&T has been giving me the run around for a few days now. My feature disappeared a few days ago. Restart device, reset network and a factory restore have been unsuccessful.
I'm guessing this is a carrier/ios6 issue. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

Jan 21, 2013 12:34 PM in response to Niyaasveecyby Blivengood,This is definitely an iOS 6 issue. Personal hotspot worked perfectly on my iPhone 5 over wifi with AT&T until this morning, right after updating to iOS 6.02
