Could Apple please make the Boot Camp drivers more accessible? They're hard to find on the Apple website, and the recent versions (3.0 and 4.0) don't appear to be online anywhere except shady pirate sites. From what I gather, Boot Camp is bundled with Mac OS X, but that doesn't make it easy to get Boot Camp into Windows, which is the whole point!

So could Apple please host Boot Camp and include it in the search index?

Also, could Apple release a statement clearing up whether Windows 8 is or is not officially supported by Boot Camp, and if not, when it will be?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

I can reply One of your Questions:

""Could Apple please make the Boot Camp drivers more accessible? ""

When you run the boot camp Assistant from your mountain lion,  there is a check box for downloading the windows support files. it is about 700 MBytes. you need to use a FAT formatted USB Flash memory for download.

As already pointed out, the Windows Support software is accessible from within Bootcamp Assistant. It is not available anywhere else.

The Bootcamp Installation Manuals and Guides state what versions of Windows work with Bootcamp and specific hardware. Windows 8 is not identified as being supported. That appears to me to be official.

Apple does not participate here. These are user-to-user technical help forums. So asking Apple to do anything here falls on deaf ears. Use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of every forum page to provide feedback to Apple.
