Oct 28, 2012 11:50 AM in response to Codstamby Moe W,This has happened to me a couple of times now, I've tried turning on and off "Airplane Mode" but it doesn't help. Only thing that brings the service back up is to reboot the phone. Network or software issue it's annoying and needs to be corrected.
iPhone 5, iOS6, Telus LTE/3G network

Oct 29, 2012 10:59 AM in response to Codstamby Technojunkie,I have exactly the same issue here in the UK on the Three network. I'm currently having my iPhone 5 replaced by Apple under an Applecare service request specifically for the "No Service" issue but, having read this thread, it seems like a common problem.
Hope it gets sorted soon by an IOS update.

Oct 31, 2012 11:56 AM in response to Codstamby 2Sweden,Well, I repeat..
I've done a reset of the device...and I did NOT synced the phone with iTune AT ALL (got to DL my old apps manually directly from AppStore)
Since than I didn't not encountered any problem YET...
It seems that android users who has phones that enable multiple networks such as HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA also has problem with the phone switching from 2g to 3G to 3G+ HSPA+ .
The problem might be on the operator provider side ( THREE 3 - in my case) .. or on the phone...(software) ...

Nov 1, 2012 12:35 PM in response to Codstamby spacbug,I called Apple today and they will send me a new phone.
A couple of hours ago I got an message that iOS 6.0.1 was out so I updated my phone, and then made my phone get "no service" (put it under my leg when I sit in my couch). Then I took it out again where I know I have service but even after a few minutes I still had not got service back until I did flight mode on/off. So the problems does not seem to be fixed in iOS 6.0.1 either.
Will be back when I get my new phone and tell you how it goes.
