After selecting iCal>File>Print, deselect all of your calendars in the Print window, make sure the Time Range is for the desired month, and select continue.Mac OS X (10.7.3), iPad 3G, iPhone 4, 20GB iPod Color, iPod shuffle

After making an empty calendar and leaving it 'checked', it still wouldn't print.
After experimenting, though, 'checking' either the 'All-Day' or 'Timed Event' "Options" in the lower right corner of Print screen allowed me to print a 'blank' calendar
