Hello all - after reading most of the complaints on this issue, it occurs to me that the majority of us have more than one device enabled on Match, and that it is working on at least one device (perhaps the one that upgraded to ios6 first?).
I've tried many of the fixes listed here, but to no avail. So frustrating.

Gragorg, I think you're on to something. In another thread on this issue, someone mentioned that he had an iphone & ipad & the issue went away for him once he disabled itunes match on both devices, then enabled it first on the device that wasn't working, then on the device that was working.
I tried the same thing & it didn't work for me. Then I remembered that I also enabled it on my ipod touch that I rarely use. Once I disabled it on the ipod touch as well, everything is working normally. Here's how my sequnece looked: iphone was not working ipad was, ipod touch was. Turn of itunes match on iphone, then turn it off on ipad, then turn it off on ipod touch. Then start it up on iphone. Wait until that one starts working, then restart it on ipad, wait until that one starts working, then start it on ipod touch, wait until that one starts working. It is now working again on all devices.

oh I have this problem too. i had restored my library, bought itunes match, and it messed it all up. I restored my iphone to brand new, and was happy that at least I had my electronic library back on the phone, if not my cd library. but this morning, I woke up and its missing again! it has a few random songs there but none of the ones I want! this is driving me insane. I am beginning to wish I went samsung!

I'm yet another one with no music on my phone. It's been this way since I upgraded. I've tried all sorts of things, including turning iTunes match on and off multiple times, restarting the phone, resetting the phone; nothing works. I can't play even one song.

Hey dudes, not to assume you're newbies and this won't answer all issues, but you should at least make sure iTunes Match is turned on in the Music App's Settings. If you have the empty iTunes Cloud icon showing in your Music App, then iTunes Match is likely turned off.

This is totally half baked... I can't believe Apple has so much money and they just don't figure stuff out -- all the way and not just 80%.
Anyway once you get the Playlists from iCloud on your iOS device click on a playlist and then scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to the bottom and click download all songs icon. Totally non-intuitive.
My problem is that when I update my playlist on my computer using iTunes Match it never updates on my iOS device so I can't even download the new stuff.
It's been at least six months since this thing was launched.

I FOUND A FIX THAT WORKED FOR ME
I noticed the albums not showing up on the iPhone had "Part of a compilation" checked off in the song info on iTunes. So after I unchecked all of them and resynced, they all showed up.

Same here! No luck. Match stinks. Messed up my phone, and now I can't get any music...I want a $25 refund - and a new phone! I have 8gb of yellow Other Bar that wont go away either....

Same problem here. What is going on with Apple - first Apple TV streaming videos is ridiculously slow so stopped using and reverted back to Netflix, and now this. iCloud hasn't worked right from the beginning. I have incomplete playlists and now the music isn't on the phone - glad I checked it before my half marathon tommorrow.
Get with it Apple!

mkral - that actually worked for me - I think this may be a multiple device problem. It ended up clearing all of the music off completely that I used to have on my iPad, but at least I no longer have the problem where all the music was there with no titles and 0:00 and I can see everything I have in the cloud and just download the albums/playlists/artists I want now.
So I did the same as you:
Turned OFF iMatch on my iPhone (which was working)
Turned OFF iMatch on my iPad (which wasn't working)
Turned ON iMatch on my iPhone and waited for it to completely sync with the cloud
Turned ON iMatch on my iPad and waited for it to completely sync with the cloud
I can now start dowloading music on my iPad properly and actually access my music.

I think the connection between multiple devices is the issue here. It never stopped working on my iPad but it did on my iPhone, however I did find a simple solution... I turned iTunes match off! My phone accesses all my music (24900 tracks), but Match is turned off. How this works is a mystery, but it works. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have just spent 2 hours trying to get the sound back on my wifes iPad. As well as music not playing I also found that you tube videos would not play. How I fixed it. Push and hold the power button. It comes up and asks if you want to turn the power off. I slid the screen slider over and the iPad went black. I waited 10 seconds and then tried to turn it back on but just like turning it off I had to hold the switch down. After 30 sec? (it seemed like 30 minutes) a white apple apeared in the middle of the screen. After another wait the unlock initial screen appeared. Now everything worked. My guess, some app was stuck and even thought I had shut down all the apps I think something was holding the speaker.

As with many others here I'm really disappointed at how badly IOS6 was implemented. It isn't the smooth seamless transition we expect from Apple. The media has been focusing on Maps but iTunes Match is a big problem too.
I wish I had done a search of the forums before I hit that update to ios6 button. Now I've had to waste so much time re-downloading and reorganizing my music and audiobooks.
Has anyone noticed that the cloud icon next to songs that were in your library but not downloaded to your device has gone missing in ios6? I found that really helpful for organizing which songs I wanted physically on my iphone or ipad.
Does anyone know if this can be brought back? So far the only way I can determine which songs are physically on my device is to flip back and forth between settings and music and switch the iTunes Match "show all music" switch on and off.

Hey everyone. I went to my local apple store and told them about my problem. The guy there indicated he hasn't heard of the problem existing before believe it or not. Anyway, they told me that perhaps my ios6 download was corrupt and they reset my phone and loaded it from their store with the new ios6 they told me NOT to restore from my original lack ups, I was able to get my contacts back from the cloud, but everything else (apps etc) I downloaded again and had to start from scratch.
HOWEVER IT DID FIX MY MUSIC PROBLEM! I then was able to get ALLL My music using iTunes Match and can access my complete library, from old CDs to newly purchased iTunes music and it hasn't had a problem since.
Perhaps they were right and updating to ios6 in the normal way (I.e. downloading it), introduced some court file or something...
All I know is I have everything running seamlessly since APPLE put ios6 on my phone themselves.....
Maybe this could help....
