Welcome to the wonderful world of WFFA, which is Wait Forever For Apple.
Simply if the 30977.png and 30978.jpg are your way to identify the images... resize them to suit Apples requirements. .png will be a larger file than the same image as a .jpg.
If as I suspect the image ID is allocated during your process... then for safety, make a copy to play with.
Change the book name be renaming the .iba suffix to .zip. Obvioulsy you need to have winzip or something that will open the zipped file.
Open the file and you will see into the file structure, somewhere in there should be an "images" folder or a list of images. look for the suspect images and try draging them onto your desktop and then you can view on PS or whever you use. resize them and drag back into the zip, close and rename back to .iba
I would suggest you open your book and also replace the suspect images and and save, if that was the only issue, re-deliver.
I have only done this once!!! so others may come in and give a better procedure.
It does seem to be beyond the wit of anybody in the Apple cradle of life to understand their own softeware and if it re-designates file names.. how is their victim supposed to know that!
You are not using iBA and the above may not work.. so the other options is to check every image you have in the book is an acceptable size. 1024 x 768 or 1024 x 748 at 72ppi seems to get by OK.
Although, if you ask about acceptable image sizes, you will not work for a week being to busy checking all the replies!
How simple life would be if Apple give you more information than .. "any image should NOT be greater than 2 million pixels, if it is.. it will not be accepted.
The bit about passing your issue to a tech team is Apple speak for..sorry we just read scripts here and coffee dripped all over the one that would help you.. so I have passed you into a loop that I know will take about 7 days to come back.. then we will not be able to help you and ask for a copy of the file, the error codes given, your mothers name , birthday and favourite colour and if your dog likes chasing balls.
