It's weird that all of you have to use a 3rd party program to solve this problem. All I had to do was plug it into my computer and register it with iTunes. After that it worked fine.

I had the exact same problem and none of the suggested methods in this thread worked for me. The iExplorer trick totally destroyed my music app (it will launch and then crash). I backed up the files I had to delete from the iTunes_Control folder before actually deleting them, so I replaced the newly-generated files with the original ones. This fixed my crashing but did not resolve the actual 'no music' or status-bar-not-loading issues. I eventually gave up and decided to visit the Genius Bar after my exam week, but after a few hours, that very same status bar that gave me so much grief actually loaded. I think it's Apple's problem on the server and not a bug in iOS 6...

After three weeks of searching - the iexplorer method worked for me. Delete the itunes_control folder and restarted music match.

Yup, using iExplorer worked for me too. It was driving me a bit mad!

It's a shame that iTunes Match is so close to being perfect but has so many little flaws in it. I guess there is a reason Apple stopped using "It Just Works" as their slogan.

I too had the No Music error. Used PhoneView to delete iTunes_Control and it all works again! Thanks all!

Thank you soooo much! I had been stuck on this problem for nearly a week now and this got all my music back.

Thank you - this issue has been frustrating me since I got my iPhone 5 yesterday. I just deleted those three files, using iExplorer and did the reboot.

At first I didn't think it had worked since I just got the blank cloud icon with no progress bar for about 10 minutes. Then I jabbed the bottom icons in frustration and suddenly a progress bar appeared and it all started working.

I had no success with any of the suggestions in this topic except this one.

I was getting really frustrated as neither my iphone 4 or ipad 3G was showing the music after trying all the suggestions until i delete the ENTIRE 'itunes_control' folder followed by a hard reboot. This worked for both of my devices.

If nothing is working for you people then this should be the one!

Hi, I've tried this but Music just won't launch after following all of these steps.

On my iPhone 4S I get a blank screen for 10 seconds, then it returns to the home screen.

I give up - Apple - please listen. I am paying good money for the Match service that used to work perfectly.

Since ios6 it has been a completely frustrating experience, and does not work at all.

    Fix it!

One thing I can say is you MUST follow the steps exactly.  This part is critical:

"I was getting really frustrated as neither my iphone 4 or ipad 3G was showing the music after trying all the suggestions until i delete the ENTIRE 'itunes_control' folder followed by a hard reboot. This worked for both of my devices"

It worked for me but not until I did the above and the reboot's (not just restart) are critical.  That is holding power and home buttons until it resets and reboots

I also suggest you could go back to the original post on iExplorer

Thanks newmach. Your method, with the hard restert, worked for me and I finally have my music back!

I have same problem on iPhone but iPad is fine. But I have no longer a Mac computer--just iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Problem happens to me after I erase all contents and settings then do a restore from an iCloud backup.

So, why does my music (I have Match) reappear on my iPad and shows nothing on my iPhone?

I would hazard a guess that it is because something you are restoring the backup is "corrupted." I know this is a pain but erase all settings and content but do not restore the backup.

Do I have to be subscribed to the $25 a year match program now?  I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 with iOS 6 on it to an iPhone 5.  Also with iOS 6 on it.  It seems that all music that I purchased directly on my old phone between the last time I synced it and the time of the upgrade is 'missing'.  It shows as there, there are song length's in terms of time listed, but when I try to play a song that falls into that category it kicks back to the all songs list.  When I have it set to random through my entire library you can see it actually skip over those tracks.  I don't want to pay 'another' $25 on top of what I've spent for each song just to listen to what I've purchased.  Help!!!

    Thx,

    BK
