Have you erased any other pairings of iPods that you currently have on the car?
Does your car have the A2DP Bluetooth protocol?
Have you put your car into pairing mode then the Nano?

I am trying to connect using the USB-Lightening connector that came with the Nano, not bluetooth.

Sorry. Is your car compatible with the Lightning cable?

Hello, Did you ever get your 7th gen nano to work with your car usb? I have a 2012 car and my previous Ipod works with usb fine. when I got a 7th gen nano, it doesn't owrk. Got the 30 pin adaptor and when I plug it in, it just says 'connected' and never brings anything else up on the car screen. Went back to using old Ipod although it 'dead white screen'.... My 7th gen nano has been sitting in its box for a year now.

Did you try using a lightning cable instead of the adapter?
