pleae help me im trying to hook my macbook to my hd tv via hdmi any one know what i should get

This should do the job for you if you have a MBP with Mini-DisplayPort and a TV with HDMI input:

If you have one of the new Retina display MBPs then you can use a standard HDMI-HDMI cable.
