In reply to George Bellas who open this debate, I think the same.

You sent sent a dozen rabid Logic users into cardiac arrest and another few hundred into (as yet) undiagnosed seizures.

You could change the wording to read... "How current Logic users see the as yet unannounced, Logic X!"

I have been using Logic sinse Logic Audio 4.6. @1997 or so.  Logic has always been a couple years ahead of the curve from all the other sequencers.  They used to have 2 upgrades a year one of which would be fairly dramatic. Logic is a fantastic program but the sun will set on it if it cannot keep up with the competiters.

Here are 4 mechanicle type request / hopes for Logic X.

    1.     The option to have the single pan pot we know and love and independant pan pots for each side of the stereo channel when dealing with stereo tracks. greatful for Direction mixer but it's a bit confusing to use to be honest, feels like black magic. It's not the same.

    2.     I need to be able to route multipule surround (6 channels each) busses out of my hardware.  I have 96 i/o and I have to bounce one stem at a time because there is only one way to get a surround file or six channel out. I can make separate surround busses but they all have to go out the same output. I need to be able to dump 36 channels of audio from my Logic machine into my Pro Tools machine so I can hand it off to my mixer for delivery. When incorporating hardware reverbs and effects this means I have to bounce this material 6 times instead of 1.  In other words it takes me 6 times longer to do this work. this turns one day or work into a weeks worth of work.  I am not getting paid by the hour so please make my life a little better. Sure I can choose to use plugs for reverb and offline bounce everything but everything is deeper and wider when you use the real thing. That's why all the plugs are named after and try to look like "the real thing".  I assue you understand this part.. There is always a work around but it usually makes it sound shittier.

    3.     There are timing issues with my hardware midi instrumets when I have the latency compensation on "All" tracks so I cannot use it.  This means I cannot put UAD plugs on any Aux channels or Bus channels until I am ready to mix and then my time code is off depending on how many plugs I have on how many busses. If I have latency compensation set to "All" my midi is off by a 1/16 note. I can only use native plugs on my busses until it's time to mix and by then I am used to the sounds I am getting and franly don't want to deal. I'm not feeling freedome here.

I am counting on you to come up with a bunch of other cool stuff as this is what I have come to expect. Please Apple (If you are listening) make it so.

You should submit feedback directly to Apple from this page:

No-one from Apple responds here and it is unlikely they read any of these posts. One hopes they actually read the feedback......
