Sorry. That was not apparent from your original post.
So you tried the reset mention above? Is the Shuffle plugged into a USB port on your PC/Mac or via a wall adapter? Maybe let it sit for a day or two and then try the reset again.
Otherwise, it could be a hardware issue, meaning you'll need to take or send the device in for service/repair/replacement.
