Hi,

I have a problem that seems to be extremely windspread. There are very, very many questions on it. However, everyone I've seen has not been answered. How does one find the answer?

Thanks,

Bruce

Is your iMac stlll under warranty?  Do you have Apple Care that is still in effect?  If yes to either, call Apple.  If no, describe your problem here and maybe someone has an answer.

Telling us what your problem actually is would be a start!

    Hi Tanya, Thanks for responding.

I've already opened a question in another area, but since you ask, I'll describe it here, too...

I recently discovered the Notes function in Apple Mail.  I created a note and kept updating it for at least a week, maybe more. then it just disappeared.

It was an awesome tool for reminding myself of things to do. But now I don't know if I can trust it to stay around.

I looked in the Time Machine and actually found the note, but it was empty.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Bruce

I have Mail 4.6.  I opened Mail, clicked on "Help" and then entered "notes" in the "Search Box".  It has complete instructions on how to use "Notes".  Have you tried that?

I'm also using OS X 10.6.8, so the version of Mail should be the same for you.

thanks for pointing me to the Notes help. It doesn't say anything that I could find that would explain what happened. However, I did then check Time Machine again. And this time I found the Note and it did have notes in it. I successfully restored it.

Maybe the note was accidentally deleted. But it is not in any of the Trash folders.
