Hi

I am using a webbased banking application, Netbank, of Denmark. I was asked to update to Java7. Safari and Firefox (64bit) do not seem to recognise the Java Plugin and do not get to see the Java aplet used for logging in. I have raised this with the bank as well.

Any advise anyone?

You need to specificially enable Java in Safari preferences (Safari -> Preferences -> Security -> Enable Java). Firefox may have a similar option.

You can test whether Java is installed and working by visiting: http://javatester.org/version.html
