It depends on what your needs are. A lot of the content is Motion, DVD SP, and STP. If you don't need them, save the space and don't install. Otherwise, I'd buy a bigger drive.

You can put that extra stuff (46GB) on an external HD. When you are installing FCS 3, you can assign to where those files go. (I also have a 250 GB drive and moved those files over to another HD.)

Thanks. Do you know if I can leave Final Cut Express 4 on my system and still install Final Cut Pro 7? Or, do I need to remove Final Cut Express 4 first?

Why would you need FCEx? Isn't it a dumd down version of FCP? Lastly, I don't know if you can import FCEx projects into FCP. Maybe somebody can ring in on these questions.

Thanks, David. No doubt, FCP7 is a higher end program. I just upgraded from FCE4 to FCP7, and wondered if I needed to remove the old program before installing the newer one.
Looks like I don't need to. :^)
