I synced my iphone to my itunes and everything was deleted or changed on my iphone.  I have so many important contacts, photos and app settings that are gone.  Can I restore what was deleted?

PLEASE HELP

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

Did you sync to the last library to which you previously synced?

Although I have had this phone for a few months now, this was the first time I synced this phone to my computer.  My itunes library was previously used for my ipod (which I do not use now that I have the new phone), so I was trying to put those songs on my phone.  As you can see, I do not have a large amount of knowledge about itunes and iphones...  I did figure out that I previously signed up for icloud and my contacts where saved on there.  I was able to get those back on my phone.  However, I did not have the photo stream setting on.  Does this mean there is no chance I can get back my photos and videos?  I have a 1 year old daughter and my phone was full of wonderful moments and memories.  It seems a couple of my apps are a different version or style now too.  I suppose the most important thing right now is the photos (which I am pretty sure are lost).

    Thank you

I have a similar situation.  I synced my daughter's iphone and it asked if it was a new phone or update from backup 8/1/12.  I'm not sure why it asked that, it had been registered and synced before.  I updated from backup and everything she has done for the last 3 months is gone now.  All new contacts, photos, everything.  She is crying in her room and I feel terrible.  Everything I've seen about recovery goes back to the itunes backup, but none of that was backed up.  Is there anyway to recover from iphone when it hasn't been backed up?
