So i was checking how much space i have on my HD out of curiosity and noticed that the 'back ups' are taking up a whopping 60gb of space on my HD. Should i be concerned? To be honest it kinda bothers me that theres 60GB of space being taken for back ups when i have purchased an external hard drive STRICTLY so i can keep my back ups on there (and ive only had my mac for a month too.) So like, if its taken up 60gb now, i dont want it to keep accumulating.

Is there a way i can delete these back ups? (i feel like theyre of no use because ive been backing up my mac on the EHD that ive purchased)

Or should i not worry? Ive read a few of the other posts and they didnt quite touch on what i want to know.

I turned off time machine for now, idk if thats the right thing to do or not. I hope ive been clear in my question, i would appreciate feedback on this.Screen Shot 2012-11-10 at 12.42.23 AM.png
