My son has apparently attempted and possibly succeeded in hacking into my desktop computer and/or my wife's PowerBook.  At least I know he tried.  We found notes lying next to my computer on how to hack into a Mac.  We backtracked the notes to a YouTube video -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6nHW3l2MuY&feature=related  .  I really don't want him on my computer or my wife's because of his unsafe browsing habits.

Is there a way to protect a machine from this approach?  Or is there a way to determine if this has occurred?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
