All the suggestions I have read have not worked for me.
But you can try:
Running Software Update from the Apple Menu
Logging in to the Mac App Store with the account that purchased ARD
Deleting various Apple Store .plist files
NB I haven't tried removind ARD and reinstalling.

You are not alone - all 3 of my Macs have thus "update" listed all of a sudden.
I've given up trying to remove it - I now just ignore it.

Both computers in my office have the same issue, its trivial but annoying.

I had the same problem. I solved the problem by deleting the remote desktop application by moving it to the trash from the applications folder and reinstalled it from the purchases section of the app store.
