Hello! I want to know what would suit me best Macbook between the MacBook Air 13'' and MacBook Pro 13'' . I would use it to go on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Itunes and use it for my studies (like Microsft Word and things like that) . I'm not a "gamer" I know that the MacBook Air 13'' has little RAM but goes fast on Internet and the MacBook Pro 13''  has more RAM but it goes more slowly on Internet than the MacBook Air 13'' ... So can you help me?:)

For my 2¢, if you usage will involve carrying it around (especially outside the home,) the MBA is the way to go.

If it's going to mostly just sit on a desk, the MBP would be better in the long term.  Weight matters even if it's less than a pound, especially on airline trips.

I'll give you my 2 cents on your decision making.

    What I have:

    1.  13" MacBook Air (late 2011) mine

    2.  15" Macbook Pro (late 2012) mine

    3.  11" MacBook Air (late 2011) wife's

My wife uses her 11" MBA about 2 hours per week (waste of money).  Purchased for portability.

I use the 13"MBA less than 2 hours per week (waste of money).  Purchased for portability.

I use the 15" MBP about 6 hours a day.  Bought it as my everyday computer.

The reason I use the Pro more:

    1.  Better and bigger screen, Hi-Res Anti-Glare (1605X1050).

    2.  More power.  2.6 GHz Quad -Core i7, 1GB video RAM

    3.  Superdrive

    4.  Ethernet Port

    5.  Upgradeable.  RAM and HDD/SSD.  I have a 256GB Crutical M4 SSD installed.

    6.  RAM upgrade to 16GB's.  I have the Apple standard 8GB istalled.

If I could sell my mint condition 13" MBA (with AppleCare expires 12/2014) I'd do it in a heartbeat....interested?

However the resell value is so low on Ebay I'd rather keep it.

There's nothing worng with the Air series computers.  In fact when I first got it I proclaimed it was the best laptop I'd ever owned (and I've had my fair share of Apple laptops).  But that soon wore off and I wanted a Pro again because of the reasons I mentioned above.  I know that superdrives and ethernet ports look like a thing of the past but not for ME!  The boot time will be at least 3 times faster compaired to the non-SSD which is a huge advantage (if you shut down and restart alot).

Now for the 13" MBP.  In my opinion there's nothing wrong it's Apple's flagship model, they sell more 13" MBP's than any other model (price for what you get factor).  The reason I don't have one over the Air is because when I was in the market for a 13" screen resolution was a deciding factor.  The 13" Air's resolution is 1400X900 (great), and the 13" Pro's resolution is 1280X800 (just ok).

You have a difficult decision to make both are good machines and both have pros and cons.

If your on a tight budget get the low end Pro (and upgrade yourself later, such as HDD to SSD, increasing RAM), if not get the high end Pro and upgrade to SSD (SSD is the single best upgrade to any computer) .  At this time I can't recommend the 13" Pro W/Retina Display simple because I don't normally buy 1st generation Apple products (other than the iPad mini because it's relatively cheap).

    Good Luck!

But I really don't know between the MBA because it goes faster but have less RAM and the MBP goes more slowly than the MBA but it has more RAM... But the 2 are good machines and I will transport it to my next travel. I know the MBA is better to transport but I can transport the MBP I don't have problem with that...

The MBA has an SSD hard drive versus the traditional platter hard drive of the MacBook Pro. There's a huge difference in system responsiveness between the two when navigating and using programs. While more RAM is a huge thing, it's unfair to compare the speed of two computers if they both don't have the same hard drive type. Secondly, your Internet 'speed' has nothing to do with the hard drive or RAM in your computer. Yes it can assist via the responsiveness of the application but ultimately you're going to be limited by your bandwidth.

Which one is limited for my bandwidth? Thanks for your answer and you think the MBA is better for me?

Neither. The bandwidth is a by-product of your ISP. I'm saying that both machines will navigate the Internet at identical speeds, more RAM isn't going to change that. I think either computer is a good decision based on the needs you specified.

A buffed up MacBook Air 13" anytime over any MBP (too heavy even the Retina).

So if I follow your comments I suppose for me the MBA 13'' is better?

(Thanks for answer me! I know i ask a lot of questions but it's important to me to really know which one is the better for me)

You can buy/download/install Microsoft Office (which includes Word) for the MacBook Air as well as the MacBook Pro.
