Can anyone tell me of a card reader that can be read or written to on the move to free up space on the new ipad mini to lightning connector please? I found this one  (http://http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/index.php?t=product/apple_md822zm||2Fa) and wrote to them but they don't seem to know. I know it's a canera card that may only be read from but i would like to find one that i can write to so i can free up space on the ipad mini. Is this possible with this or any other card/USB reader please?

My experience is with iPad 2, not the 4 or mini but the iPads don't support writing TO cards at all. The card reader and USB connector is only supported to read video or photo files from a card or camera.

The iPad has no file manager so it's all but impossible to write data off of it without using iTunes to sync the data.

You may want to look into something like dropbox or other online service even though those are limited to you having to have internet access to use the services.
