I had my first conversation today with Verizon. After ensuring that my software was up to date, the tech had me reset the network settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. He told me that after other people had done this, after the iOS 6.0.1 software upgrade, that they had not called back with this same date and time issue.

    Time will tell....

Thanks for the info crnkyplry, I'm going to give it a try.  This was one of the things I tried without success prior to the 6.01/13.3 update, but I haven't tried it since so what have I got to lose?  I appreciate you, and everyone on this discussion for taking the time to post these potential fixes.  Even if it doesn't work, it's worth a try and better than waiting helplessly for VZW and/or Apple to resolve.

    Thanks!

This is not just a Verizon issue. I am a Sprint IPhone 5 customer with the same issue. Time is off about 20 to 25 minutes. First time was 2 days ago and a restart fixed it. Second time was today and toggling Airplane mode on and off fixed it. I have a watch so I don't watch the phone time that much so I am not sure when it's actually happening.

Sprint leases towers from Verizon so of course Sprint would be effected too.

Tried the reset yesterday as suggested after the most recent update.  Didn't work.  I just looked at it and it was about 50 minutes off again.  Oh, well.  Nice try!

Same here.  Tried Reseting the Network Settings after the Apple 6.01/VZW 13.3 update and it only lasted for a few hours and back to a different random date & time.  So no solution for me yet.

Well, time told...it didn't work for me either. Sorry, folks.

for what it's worth, I have not had my date/time glitch in 3-4 days. I'm waiting for the weekend and Monday before I let myself decide that it's done with. I've been leaving LTE on, I have the 6.0.1/13.1 updates.

Since these issues seemed to be relagated to geographic pockets, I'm in the Louisville Ky with most of my time spent near/in Shelbyville.

My iphone 5 (black 16gb) has a same problem, incorrect time for 2 hours off. I also have Verizon, California. Apple and Verizon pointing figures at each other. Need to get this problem fix soon.

My phone is doing this as well, and it's really starting to **** me off.  I use my phone as my alarm clock, you see... Have been doing this for the past six years without an issue-- with my old phone, that is.  Two weeks ago I get the iPhone 5.  First time i've ever had a phone within even 6 months of it's release.  It's caused me to be late to work twice already

I'm astonished this hasn't been addressed yet.  May not seem all that important to the engineers with Apple... But for those of us that run on a tight schedule everyday, it is quite an inconveience.

I'm honestly starting to consider going back to the old brick-- LG Rumor Touch.  I'm that frustrated.

Just wish there were a more formal way to address this via email to Apple's seemingly non-existant online support (apart from this forum, of course).  But a forum can only get you so far in situations such as these

I'm in Indiana.  I am having the same issues.  The phone seems to switch times randomly.  I missed an appointment because of this yesterday.  I am a Verizon customer.  I believe it is happening when I switch towers.

Just wanted to chime in that I'm also having the issue. Verizon 13.3 and iOS 6.0.1. I also use my phone as an alarm and it went off at 1:30 this morning b/c the phone thought it was 6:30. Very annoying! I have the automatic time turned off and just also tried turning off the time zone update from location services under privacy.

This really is a basic function that shouldn't be difficult at all.

I am on Sprint network. Iphone 5 with 16Gig.

Starting happening this time and Date issue from day one I purchased.

It is very annoying. I tried different options like setting time to Manual. and other options like CDMA roming disable...etc. No Use so far.

I can say only one thing now... Iphone 5 *****....

I never thought Apple makes suck a worst device and OS.

My Alarms, reminders, imessages... etc are screwed up.

    It's a Crap... Crap... Phone.

I can tell you... it is not the phone. I work for an indirect Verizon store..  This is a huge issue with my ip5 as well.. With that said, i am getting GS3, Droid Razr M, Razr HD witht he same problems...  I have talked to tech support as well as all of you.. And I am getting the same answers.  This is only my take... But this seems to be in areas that dont have the full LTE buildout and is still switching between 3g and LTE... This is where i see my phone doing this.. I watched it many time now when going from LTE to 3g or visa versa...   there is a communication error somewhere between those towers..  BUT i will say.. from all the phones with this problem i am seeing... it is NOT apple..

Weird thing is.. i went three weeks with LTE on and the problems were gone... as of two days ago.. back to the same problems...
