    Hi Nicolai,

     

    Not much to go on actually.

     

    hiutil is for creating and examining .helpindex files. These files were historically created by Help Indexer.app, which now calls this tool.

     

    Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
