An unexpected error occurred (error code -6584)

How can I solve this. Time machine won't back up now.

Time Capsule 802.11n (4th Gen), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    This is common error .. especially with Mountain Lion.

     

    It can indicate the TC is just lost or is corrupted backups.

     

    Hold the options key and click the top TM icon.. run verify backups.

     

    If that fails because it cannot find the TC.. do a full network startup in correct order.. modem.. router/TC.. clients.. 2min gap.

     

    Do a search for the error.. there are any number of posts.. I notice "More Like This" has gone completely to pot now with several errors listed except yours.

    Did you do the full network restart in correct order as I described. Everything must be shut off not sleeping.. have a go.. ML has so many network issues.
