I was thinking exactly the same thing. Even news outlets like Huffington Post and Cnet would likely have interest in this since Apple is such a hot topic. I really think the only way to bring attention to the software/hardware problems of this edition of the MBP is through the media because Apple is seriously ignoring our concerns. Telling a customer to just wait for a update to solve horrible UI lag issues is unacceptable. Especially since this computer has been out since July..

You have a underpowered graphics card pushing 5 million pixels, not sure anything could be done.

Some people may be interested to know of Apple's extended returns policy over the Christmas period (commencing 27 October 2012).
Holiday Gift Receipt policy
"Items purchased at an Apple Retail Store between 27 October 2012 and 25 December 2012 may be returned with an original receipt or Gift Receipt until 7 January 2013. If the item is returned in the original box, with the original packaging, we will exchange it or offer you an Apple Retail Gift Card. Refunds will be granted until 7 January 2013 only when an original purchase receipt is provided and will be based solely on the original method of payment."

And what about peoples who bought it in Summer ? Can I return that piece of .... and refund my money ???
Why we can't all of us massively return them this "product" ?
Maybe if we all will return them that laptop, maybe they will start think about that ??

Retina MBP never shipped with Snow Leopard you have to have had Lion and then upgraded to Mountain Lion.

Has anyone tried resseting SMC or PRAM? I stumbled upon this article today when researching the lag issues. I'm also putting in a support ticket with Apple today to see what can be done. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Well, this worked just fine for me - http://www.guiguan.net/fix-mac-os-x-mountain-lion-laggychoppy-animations/
I guess at first glance it doesn't make any sense but i had autocad already installed in my computer so i gave it a try...and voilá it worked.

So if you don't have AutoCad installed; you need to install it to help with this issue?
