Q: Could you help me learn to scan a document using HP Photosmart C7280 All in one to my Macbook Air?

Need to scan a document using HP Photosmart C7280 All in One to my Mac Air.  How do I scan?

I can not get the document to load onto the computer. Yes, the computer is plugged into the scanner!   Step by step help would be great.  Once it loads then what do I do and how and when do I write an accompaning email?

thanks for your knowledge!

Your printer does show up in the "Printer and Scanner Software" link of the attached Mac Print 101 article:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670

I don't know if the printer was set up correctly (in System Preferences > Print & Scan).  If it is not set up correctly, the article should walk you through how to do that.

If it is set up correctly, you can open System Preferences (under the Apple logo on the left side of the menu), click "Print & Scan", find your printer on the left, click it, and hopefully find a "Scan" tab on the upper right.  You can click that "Scan" tab and do your scanning as directed from there.
