Hello,     I have an IMac version 10.6.8.    Suddenly I cannot send outgoing mail from the mail app.  I get a message saying:   The SMTP server doesn't support TLS (SSL) on port 587.

 

I went to Connection Doctor and got a message saying:  Trying to log into this SMTP account failed.  Verify that user name and password are correct.

 

Both of those things are correct.   What do I do now. 

 

I called my server and they are not that familiar with macs but said to check the outgoing port which I cannot find.   I am able to receive mail just fine.

 

Please help.
