Not sure if AppCleaner does this, but have you tried removing your prefs? Quit Aperture, and from the Finder, hold down the "Option" key and go to the Go menu. Then select Library and navigate to the Preferences folder. From there, move the com.apple.aperture.plist file to the Trash. Does Aperture still crash when you enable Photo Stream?

Tried it, no luck. The second I enable photo stream, it hangs, then the fans start blasting, beachball starts spinning.
I don't think it has anything to do with the Photo Stream itself, it's instantaneous, as if it's internal to Aperture... it's not like it's trying to connect, then having a problem, it's as soon as I click "turn on Photostream"
