iLife doesn't include any of the iWork apps or vice versa. They are two separate suites. There was a time you could buy a "boxed set" of OS X Leopard, iLife & iWork. The same set was later offered with Snow Leopard.
Pages 1 in iWork '05 will not run on Lion or Mountain Lion as it is a PPC app. The newest version of Pages requires Lion. So, the first question is, what version of OS X are you using?

Thank you Alan and Peggy,
I am running Leopard 10:5.8. The iLife '05 came with my G4 powermac when it was gifted to me. It came with iWork which included Pages. But I can't use it if I can't buy the version of Pages that came with that '05 version of iLife. Alan thinks that I need to upgrade to iLife '09. Is that the only option?

You can probably buy a retail box of iWork '08 or '09 which will run in Leopard. Try a third party such as Amazon.com or eBay. There have been a lot of improvements in iWork since 2005, including the addition of the spreadsheet program, Numbers.
But iLIfe & iWork are still separate entiites. Neither one included the other. iLife is included with all new Macs, iWork is not. Neither is "required" for the apps in the other suite to functions.
