Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I'm having - I created a song in Garageband iOS and have since imported it into Garageband for Mac (latest version). I found that all of my instruments imported properly which was a nice surprise- Samples I laid down with the 'sampler' instrument in iOS GB work fine, as do all of my instruments and apple loops and audio clips.

BUT if in the course of continuing to develop the song on my Mac, if I accidentally (or intentionally) change the 'sound generator' value for any of these instruments (say, for instance, I have sounds created on iOS, and the "Sound Generator" fields now say "Garageband synth"... but I change those tracks instruments to "Electric Piano") I find that the original instrument (Garageband Synth) disappears from the list, and I can't undo to get it back!

Since the tracks, with the original istruments all played correctly after importing (with sounds that existed on the iOS version) I know the patches for those instruments were imported, and must physically exist on my Mac - question is, where do they go? Why do they vanish when I select a different istrument?

Help and insight would be terrific! Thanks,

Chris
