I have two Apple IDs, an older and a newer one. I now use the more recent one for just about everything. The older ID was set up some time back, and I no longer use it. However, certain apps were bought with this older ID, and updates require me to enter this ID in order to activate them. My problem is that I can’t remember the password for this older ID. So I try to recover that password and come across this difficulty: the answers I give to the recovery questions are wrong (must be my fault but I have no record of the questions or the answers); the e-mail associated with this older ID is a MobileMe address, now no longer active and—critically—no longer accessible. So the system sends messages to this (now defunct) address with my password reminder, but I never get those e-mails because I can’t access them. So I can never validate my older ID. Catch 22! How can I solve this? Is there some sort of über-Apple administrator that I can contact?
