Dear Apple,

I would very much like you to personally address the issue with the incompatability of Final Cut Studio 3 with Mountain Lion OS X.

I am a professional video producer and have been using FCS for many a year, now I have upgraded my Mac and with it the operating system only to find that my editing software is incompatible.

I understand there is the plan to move everyone onto FCP X, however, you must also be aware of the simple fact that about 90% of the professional editing world are against this and would at least like to be offered the option of using FCP 7 on the latest operating system.

The problems I seem to have when running FCS 3 on my Macbook Pro 15' i7 (with Mountain Lion OS X v10.8) is that I either have a choice of having a fully functioning FCP 7 and Motion 4, without the use of Cinema Tools, or I can run the ProApp update and have Cinema Tools run but Motion 4 and FCP 7 crash.

Is there no simple solution to having all these pieces of FCS working seemlessly together on the 'most advanced operating system in the world'?

I would greatly appreciate any advice and a valid solution to this very frustrating compatibility error.

Kind Regards,

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
