How the printer is connected to the computer?
Is it PCL, PS or GDI?

We have the HP 2055dn on a network. I just updates the OS from 10.7.3 to 10.7.5 expecting this to solve our issue, but no success. I also atempted to download the lastest frim for the printer from the HP website and had no success.

Can you list the printer when you try to add a new one?

Yes, everyone can see the printer listed under their printer preferrence.
The interesting thing about the situation is everyone has the printer listed under the printer preferrence, but the problem is like a hot potatoe. On one day I cannot print and another day someone else cannot print.
Under the printer preferences you can see the work in progress but it never prints.

You can try installing the printer in this way.
- Printer IP address
- Printing protocols active on the printer, HP Jetdirect - Socket and or LPD.
Usually HP Jetdirect is enabled on networked HP printers.
Go to System Preferences, Printer & Scanners, add a new printer
Choose HP Jetdirect - Socket as a protocol
type in the printer's IP address into address box and leave Queue empty.
Optionally change Name, Location
Check that Print using is showing the correct printer model or change it accordingly.
Click Add button
Try printing with the new added printer.
