About MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 2.0

This update includes graphics performance and reliability enhancements and improves compatibility with some USB devices.
This update is recommended for all Mac notebooks introduced in June 2012.

I'm unable to install this update.

My Mac: Last 15" retina; 16g of memory; 500g ssd, etc...

From AppStore I received the update. It was installing and, as part the installer process, it asked me to reboot so it could continue the installantion; But, at end of all of this, it says unable to install the update;

Now, from AppStore, it appears to be installend, since the update isn't listed again...

How to confirm if everything is ok? (I don't like any error messages at drivers level)

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Install that update from Apple Support webpage > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1609

Don't worry..If is no listed may installed and if no it will be available with futures updates.

Isn't like you can't live without it isn't it?

In a macbook Air mid 2012 it install perfectly ..

I have this problem with my MacBook Air 2012, I get the same error screen.  As mentioned by the previous poster, the update no longer appears in the App Store update section and the standalone updater fails in the same manner.  The console log shows segmentation faults.  For me, at least, after the standalone updater failed, other apps failed to launch (also showing segmentation errors) and the computer wouldn't shut down properly.

I'm worried that the update is not showing up in the app store just because it wrote its receipt, but isn't actually installed.  If this was a new graphics driver, I'd really like to be sure that it was installed.

It installed without issues on my 2012 MacBook Pro (non-retina).

Don't install it! I think Apple has pulled it down for some reason. I had earlier installed it and it has since given me issues with perptually aksing me for my keychain password and frequent black screens. I'm forced to restart my computer! Apple needs to fix this urgently!

I download and installed it yesterday on my MBP late 2012. No problem at all, but a few days ago the link didn't work.

    Eventually Apple has fixed it.

    Evening folks.

Have any of you noticed an issue with your 2012 MBP or Air after applying this update?

Myself and several other users on here are experiencing the following:

The MBP / MBA wakes from sleep when the AC adapter is connected or disconnected. In addition there may be random or periodic wake events while your computer is in sleep mode. In the worst cases this can result in noticeable battery drain overnight.

If you haven't noticed, please check it out.

The cause is 100% due to this update as a re-install of OS X with all updates applied before this one results in normal operation. Versions of OS X 10.8 above 12C60 will likely experience the issue.
