I'm having some serious problems with my 21.5 iMac Core2 Duo.

After restart it seems to work fine bug gets more and more sluggish over time.  Within about 30 minutes it has slowed to a crawl and the hard drive is thrashing in the background.  Even waking from sleep and loging in can take 2 minutes of spinning beach ball.  Safari seems to be involved somehow and will chew up a huge amount of memory with just 10 tabs open.  Even without Safari, it seems to be slow.

Running Mountain Lion, 8Gig of Ram, 1TB HD with about 500Gig Used.  All updates are installed. 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.1.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
