You rebooted the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.The new iPad, iOS 6, 64GB WiFi

Did a total restore on Itunes (after backing up), it was better, still start up slow (apple logo hangs about too long), got fed up, went to Apple Store and they said it might be a software problem , or a hardware problem, we don't want to do a restore and ypou get home, and problems still exist- here is a nwe I pad!!!!
Ok, I now have a new Ipad running on OIS 5, not sure whether to update to the 6.01 as I am requested to do now by I Tunes???
