And what about the image quality between both monitors?

I put the same image on both monitors and both looked the same - text looked good on both as well.

    Hello everyone, First post here!

First things first (to make life easier on you guys) this is what spec Mac Mini I have:

Mac Mini (Late 2012) - Mountain Lion OSX - 10.8.2
    2.6GHz (Turbo Boosts to 3.6GHz) i7 QUAD-CORE Processor (64-Bit)
    4GB RAM 1600MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (512MB VRAM)
    6MB L3 Cache
    1TB Hard Drive (5400 RPM)

    Monitor: Benq G922HDL

I am using the DIV to HTML cable that come with my Mac Mini.

I do also get the flickering, but nowhere near as much as some/most people here have been suggesting. I was on this compluter all day yesterday, and the screen went all funny colors and then black for 1 maybe 2 seconds, 2 maybe 3 times. Most of the time I had this problem was when I was working the graphics card (During playing Sims 3), and one randomly while sitting on the desktop patiently waiting for something to finish downloading. So I am stuck to what I can do. maybe I should call Apple tomorrow and see what they have to say, but i don't wanna replace it with another machine that will most likely have the same problem.

I mean other than the flickering the machine seems to be fine and running very smoothly, but I will admit I was a little weary of buying this machine due to the intel HD Graphics 4000, but I in the end showed confidance in the Graphics Card and hoped that everything would be ok. Obviously not okay.

This is the first machine I have ever bought where I haven't bought a cheap low spec computer and now I am having problems. I hope this is fixed, not just for my sake, but for every single person with this problem.

Now i know this is an actual BIG problem I shall try to keep y'all updated, I only found out about this today from an email from lockergnome. I hope this problem is fixed with an update/patch, because I have installed so much on this computer and set it all up for my liking. Don't wanna have to do that all again.

I live in hope that there is a cure, if not at least I am on record as having made a complaint and that Apple wanted my Mini to carry out further tests. So if push comes to shove I get a refund and either wait for the next new improved Mac Mini or a new MBP.

The Eizo I calibrated and it looked remakably similar to how it looks showing an image from my MBP, the MBP is on DVI 1 and MM is on DVI 2.

Comparing the two screens connected to the MM apart from a colour difference, as I had not got around to calibrating the second monitor, they both looked pretty much the same. I was using the Eizo as my main screen with the second screen having the adjustment / display panels on.

It was a nice setup which I hope I can get back to

AWESOME! I emailed Lockergnome about this issue a couple days ago. And he spoke about it in one of his latest videos!

And he wrote an article about too. Well, basically copy/pasted my email to him.

He seems to be pretty famous in the Apple community, so here is hoping this has some impact.

This one as well. Grey 'snowlike' noise on screen. I have my mac mini for 14 days. Within this period it happend about 6 times. The picture suddenly changed (independent from what I was doing.) Music kept playing and keyboard input let to response sounds. The screen noise was on for about 10 seconds each time. The last time this happend I managed to take a picture of the screen. See below. During the last 'snowout' I disconnected my HDMI-> to DVI connector and pluged it back in. The noise stopped and the mac mini functioned normally again.photo.JPG

    Not good.

Just bought another one from another store across town to see if I could get one from a different (good) batch.  I noticed the memory color was different this time - green instead of blue.  I kinda hoped that was the problem.  But no, about 20 minutes into the session, my HDMI --> DVI (using the included converter) monitor went snowy.  Oh well, now I have two to return.    Well hey, if nothing else, I'm sending twice the message to Apple to fix their crap!

    Folks, seriously. TRY THIS!

I had non stop blinking through HDMI.

I installed this update from Apple over the existing 10.8.2 version on my Mini and it fixed the issue!

You have nothing to lose by giving it a try and reporting back.

    Waste of time.  Problem persists.

After running DiskUtility permission repair (some Graphic Framework files fixed) + PRAM reset I have not seen issue.

It is still too short time to call it fixed (4+ hrs), but I would probably see blinking within that period, before that change.

Yeah I had a blink out again. I havent seen the snow in a long time, but a black screen yes. So obv the resets and troubleshooting hasnt helped. Its obviously a problem with the Intel 4000 graphics. I didnt return my mini because I do love it and a black screen once(for a second) every few hours is tolerable. I shouldnt have to "tolerate" my computer though, yes. Im praying for any news from apple or update.

Anyone who has talked to Apple or recieved any updates, please post. Not fixes because it seems like "Oh I got it" (few hours later) "nopeeee nevermind". Haha

    @t0mi

I just did a DiskUtility Permission Repair myself and it did "repair" some graphics framework files. The only problem with my machine is has only happened a few times a day in the past (2 or 3 times), meaning it will be difficult to notice if that has made a differance or not.

I was on the computer last night for 3 hours and had no problems at all as far as I knew. I hope it never happens again, but knowing my luck it probably will.

I'll keep y'all further updated if possible.
