"You have unsaved changes to 10000033981.itmsp. You should save prior to delivering"

In the future, you can use the camera icon here to upload screenshots directly to the forum.

If you are using iBooks Author, you might want to post to that forum as well, which has more readers.

    Hello Tom,

Thanks for your reply. I am using Itunes producer to deliver my books into i bookstore and not ibooks author. Do you have any idea on the strange error that was found in the screenshot?

I asked you what app you used to create your epub.

    Sorry Tom,

I dont remember which application i used to convert it. Would you suggest the best application that i can use to convert my pdf files into epub format? and that too supported in itunes producer.

    Thanks

    Bonnie

I don't know if it is the cause of your problem, but pdf is the worst format to convert to anything else, as it is intended to be the "end of the line" itself.   I would always recommend people create their books directly in a word processing app which can output to epub, like Pages or InDesign.

    Thanks Tom,

But my book contains stories based on Cartoon images, so its almost looks like an image. It is not just a text. So i have create it in pdf and convert from there. I believe we can convert pdf to epub, if you could suggest a best application which allows me to convert files to epub.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Thanks again

Sorry, I don't have any ideas on that.  But you might ask in the forum

You can open your PDF in Preview, an example, then select all/copy....paste into a Pages document and generate an epub from there. You'll need to confirm formatting and style, etc.

calibre will accept PDF input and output epub. See:

PDF Input — calibre User Manual

    Hi KT,

Thanks a lot, i have followed your instructions and created epub files using calibre and now while delivering it to apple through Itunes producer, I am experiencing few errors which i am not sure of fixing it. Please find the below image for list of errors that were listed while delivering books through itunes producer. 1. I can fix the cover picture by increasing the dimension of the image to 500pixel but i dont understand other three errors that are found. Could you please help me out here?

    Hi KT,

I am waiting for your reply on fixing the below 3 issues that occured while delivering the books into apple.

    1. ERROR ITMS-9000: "The_Down_Under_Salad_Bowl_-_Bonnie_Lee.epub: index.html(15): element "img" missing required attribute "alt". This error occurs 34 times." at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)

Breif Explanation -  You have received this error because you are using an HTML element in the HTML of the EPUB file that is not allowed.  Once the necessary changes have been made, please upload the updated EPUB file in to iTunes Producer, make sure all required metadata fields are filled out then click on Deliver.

    2. ERROR ITMS-9000: The_Down_Under_Salad_Bowl_-_Bonnie_Lee.epub: index.html(13): text not allowed here; expected element "address", "blockquote", "del", "div", "dl", "h1", "h2", "h3", "h4", "h5", "h6", "hr", "ins", "noscript", "ns:svg", "ol", "p", "pre", "script", "table" or "ul"

Breif Explanation - Use of the blockquote element can cause ePubecheck to give the error "text not allowed here".  Text must not be alone inside of a body tag and if it is not enclosed in some other block level tag, this may lead to the error you are receiving.

    3. Your third error you inquired about: ERROR ITMS-9000: "The_Down_Under_Salad_Bowl_-_Bonnie_Lee.epub: index.html(2): attribute "lang" not allowed here; expected attribute "dir", "version" or "xml:lang"" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage).

Please help me out in fixing those errors.

    Thanks
