    I have experienced similar problem since yesterday.

    I have iPhone 4s, iOS 5 (decided not to update until several bugs are fixed) and on EE network (formerly T-mobile).

    Have been using Viber for a while, but suddenly messages appear as 'sent', but not 'delivered' and do not receive others' messages. Same on 3G and wi-fi.

    Any advice of comment would be appreicated.

    Thanks

    Hi all,

    Viber system is currently experiencing connectivity issues. This is related to our hosting provider (Amazon) that is having a major problem that also affects many other services worldwide.

    Amazon is on it, and we hope that with their help we'll be able to restore Viber's service soon.

    We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

    Dear Staff,

    I am aware of the current connectivity issue, but my question has nothing to do with that.

    Suddenly, my boyfriend started not hearing me anymore using Viber. I can hear him very well, but he does not. So far, nothing different from the any posts you have already received. My odd thing is that he cad hear me very well if it move the conversation to Speakers. This is absolutely non sense to me! He can use his iPhone very well in terms of audio on standard calls and other apps. No problem at all, but only with Viber we got this weird thing!

    Can you please help us?

    Our best regards!

    L & M

    @DrLuc -

    May we ask which iPhone and which iOS version (precisely) both of you have?

    Also, is either of your iPhones Jailbroken?

    Lastly, it could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.

    1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?

    2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled ("forwarded") on your routers or firewalls:

    TCP: 5242 + 4244

    UDP: 5243 + 9785

    (if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)

    Dear Staff,

    Thank you for your kind reply.

    we both have an iPhone 4, iOS 6.0 (the very latest released). Both our devices are original.

    I see your tips, and I will make sure to make many tries using different wi-fi networks. Nonetheless, I think that the issue is linked to something different: in fact, why does the audio work with SPEAKERS and not with normal microphone? If it was the network, wouldn't it mute in both cases?

    Thank you very much for your help. My BF has just flought to USA and it's such a shame not being able to use Viber the standard way. It has worked so well for so many weekd, same wi-fi, same everything!

    @mimikira -

    Some mobile operators across the world block Viber on their 3G network (Vodafone is known to be doing it in many countries). Usually this happens when users have a "simple" data plan (or a prepaid contract), meaning they didn't pay extra for using VoIP on their 3G network.

    In order to verify this, we recommend to:

    1. Test Viber on a few different WiFi networks, and see that it works fine.

    2. Contact your cell company and confirm this with them.

    @DrLuc -

    Thank you for the information.

    We are looking into this issue and we hope to add a solution in our upcoming next update.

    Meanwhile, we kindly ask that you take a minute and report the details of the the problem to our support team using this direct link: http://bit.ly/ukGVJ0

    Our team will look into this issue and contact you again should they need more info.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi. I have an iPhone 4s and i've been using Viber for 6months without any problems at all. Just recently, i noticed that i receive notifications that i have msgs but i couldn't view them. I tried uninstalling viber and reinstalling it again to see if it would help but now it won't even sync my contacts at all. I live in Doha, Qatar and i've been using Viber here for months. What could be the problem and how can i fix it? Thanks.

    @MissKrizzy -

    The problem with the messages could have been a result of a temporary server problem, and should be fine now.

    Regarding the inability to synchronize your Viber contact list -

    It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.

    1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?

    2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled ("forwarded") on your routers or firewalls:

    (if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)

    Dear Viber Team,

    I am in NYC right now and have a 4 S iPhone bought at the Apple store (Verizon, 3 G).

    Can I use Viber and free calls when I am in Europe (Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Prague)?

    How do I activate it so it works for free and my phone does not get charged fees?

    Thank you in advance

    LFM

    Hi @LFNYC -

    Viber can be used all over the world, as long as both sides of the conversation have Viber installed and are connected to the internet

    When you move abroad, you can simply keep Viber as it is (without re-registering). Your Viber will still have the original number with which you registered (your New York number), and will keep functioning as usual.

    Hello,

    I have read many articles claiming that Viber app for iphone is a malware/spyware and a possible backdoor trojan. I am very concerned with this issue, I have deleted the app as a precaution. I need to know whether this information is true and if so, why did apple allow it to be installed from the app store. Also, by deleting the app will the spyware be deleted as well? Moreover, are there any recommeded iphone anti-malware programs that an be purchased?

    Hi @Nadine101-

    I am an official representative of Viber. You can rest assured that Viber is not a malware nor is it a trojan. Viber is a service that's been running for 2 years now, with tens of millions of active users every day. In our official homepage: http://www.viber.com - you can find all the information you need, including the Privacy Policy (to which we're obligated by law), where all your questions and concerns will be addressed.

    If after reading that you still have doubts, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll do my best to clarify anything.

    Regards,

    the Viber Team.

    Hello Viber Team,

    I have a problem with Viber notifications (notification of other applications are working perfectly - ios 5.1.1)

    Viber notification only work if I am on wifi or 3g constantly. If the internet is off for a few minutes, no notification will be displayed for incoming text messages in the meantime. Is that problematic Viber version 2.2.2 or something else?

    Regards, and..sorry for bad english
