How do I use microsoft apps with Mountain Lion?
Install Office for Mac. http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products
Ensure that they're from Office 2008 or newer. If you don't want to buy the newer version of Microsoft Office, try a product such as OpenOffice.
Turns out I have the 2004 edition. Have you used the 2011 edition with mountain lion?
Office 2008 and 2011 are Mountian Lion compatible.
I have it, what would you like to know?
Does the data cross over from the old microsoft versions?
Not sure exactly what you mean??
Here I go. I'm going to get Office 2011 and the current version of Quicken for MAC.
I'm not sure I'm going to be of enormous use to you. I don't and never have used Quicken. I first used Office v.X and then upgraded, (after deleting), to Office 2011.

There is a Mountain Lion specific version of Quicken 2007, ensure to get that and not the standard version.
