I am making a project in Motion in which an image starts out very tiny in the middle of the screen and spins until it fills the screen. My problem is I don't know how to set it so that it stops when it reaches full screen - and also how do I set it so that it reaches full screen and doesn't get any bigger?

Motion 4, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Motion 5

Are you using behaviors to change the rotation and size?

You can trim the end of the behaviors to get the size and rotation you want at the end.

    Make sense?

You can use behaviors. Apply them to an image using the library tab of the inpector or the button marked with a cog icon above the timeline.

    Scaling up to 100%

    Option 1:

    1. At the start of picture's duration in the timeline, set the scale of your image to 1%.

    2. Apply the Basic Motion : Grow/Shrink behavior with these settings Increment: Natural Scale, Scale to 9900%

    Option 2:

    1. At the start of picture's duration in the timeline, set the scale of your image to 100%

    2. Apply the Parameter : Ramp behavior with these settings Start Value: -99%, Apply To: Properties.Transform.Scale.All - Try changing the value of Curvature to change the timing of the scale up.

    In both cases

    3. Change the End Offset for the animation to complete before the end of the duration of the picture

    Spinning to 0º

    Option 1:

    1. Apply the Basic Motion : Spin behavior with these settings Increment : Ramp to Final Value, Spin to 720 (or another multiple of 360)

    2. To choose when the spin finishes, drag the right-hand edge of the behavior bar in the timeline

    Option 2:

    1. At the start of picture's duration in the timeline, set the rotation of your image to -720º

    2. Apply the Parameter : Ramp behavior with these settings End Value: 720, Apply To: Properties.Transform.Rotation.Z - Try changing the value of Curvature to change the timing of the rotation.

    3. Change the End Offset for the animation to complete before the end of the duration of the picture
