HI, So I'm running a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion. I'm using an old wireless apple mouse with the roller ball on the top with right click capabilities and a newer apple keyboard (bought maybe 3 years ago). Recently, with the update to Mountain Lion, after I connect both my keyboard and mouse, my bluetooth will only work between an hour and three hours before it just cuts off. It says that it's still on and connected to both devices, but neither device do anything. Also, I cannot turn off my bluetooth on my computer, and if I can, the bluetooth symbol on the menu bar will say it is off but in the settings menu it'll still have the on button checked, which no matter how many times I uncheck, will become checked again when I go back to the menu.

The only solution I have come up with is to restart my computer whenever this happens, but this is only a temporary, and annoying fix.

Thanks for all your help in advance,

~Zaise

Really? No one knows anything? I can't be the onlyone with this problem.

Sorry - I 'retired' all of my old Apple Bluetooth devices when I got my Apple Thunderbolt Display - 'upgraded' to the USB extended keyboard and a new Bluetooth Magic Trackpad.

It's likely that your question has gone unanswered simply because no one else if having the same problem. Or don't have the same hardware as you.

The best thing that I can tell you is to take your MBP and your Bluetooth devices to your local Apple Store or AASP and see if you can duplicate your problem for them. It might be that you just need to 'upgrade' your Bluetooth devices or there could be something wrong with the Bluetooth controller - really hard to determine over the Internet.

    Good luck,
