My 2012 MBP 13" has been having a few weird power issues lately. I can close the lid and it'll go to sleep fine, but when opening, I started getting the progress bar and greyed out screen, along with the superdrive power cycling. I got rid of that for the most part by changing how long it takes for it to go to standby to 24 hours. However, I'm still having an issue where when I unplug it in the morning to take it to work, the superdrive cycles even though the lid is closed and it's "asleep" so to speak. I've reset the SMC a few times, no avail. I've done a search online more than a few times, the only fix I came up with was changing the standby time. Any ideas?
