everytime i open the app it is fine, but as soon as i try to start a new project or open an old one. it crashes and makes motion 5 unusable. for 50 dollars i expect more, and i expect this to be fixed as soon as possible, because i am very disappointed...

If you have never been able to create a project I would trash Motion preferences in ~/Library/Preferences/com.Apple.Motionapp.plist. If that doesn't work I'd reinstall Motion from the App store after putting Motion application in the trash.

Hi, I have the same problem. I work on Motion 4,  but i can't find the Motion preferences in ~/Library/Preferences/com.Apple.Motionapp.plist.

It's not there. Is it normal? Could that be the problem?

The reference is to your user library not the system library. If you are on Lion or Mountain Lion use the GO menu while holding down the option key and select library to go to your user library. See if you can then find the file. Also you can download Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion for free and it will do the job.

Cool! I could'nt find any library in my user menu (i don't know why?). But with Digital Rebellion, it found the file and did the job!! Thanks Jim!
