Hi all

I'm looking to purchase an 27' Cinema Display (with DVI, NOT Thunderbolt) to use as the mainscreen for my mid 2010 Macbook. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how well the Macbook would cope running at 2560x1440 in Clamshell mode and would i see any performance drops etc?

Original specs vs my current specs

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4Ghz

Ram: 2GB (8GB currently)

Hard drive: 256GB (256GB SSD currently)

GPU: Nvidia 320m 256mb

Currently fully up to date with Mountain Lion etc. Any help would be appreciated and hopefully the Macbook shouldn't have a problem running the display at that resolution i'm assuming that due to the fact the Macbook will be used in Clamshell mode it should be fine as it isn't running both displays?

Many thanks

MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
