Never having owned or operated an Apple software or or hardware product until early this year, I have no info on what I could do in Apple Pages re either producing or editing text documents using the keyboard with Apple Pages. The only Apple software I have used the keybd with is Apple Notes on the iPhone 4S 64 gb iOS from prior and now after iOS 6.0.1.
Does Pages have a menu system similar to Corel WordPerfect or MS Office? My goal is to produce and edit docs on the iPhone in meetings, etc., that I can transfer to my Windows platform hardware and edit in Windows. I have been using Microsoft since 1985 DOS & using WordPerfect since it was owned & being developed by WordPerfect (before Microsoft stole WordPerfect to produce the inferior Windows Office Suite).
I have learned that I can go to the beginning or end, ect. of a doc using the control -- up, dwn, left or right arrows. I have not found uses on the iPhone re much else other than caps lock, shift, tab, or character keys. The uses of other keys on the iPhone not connected wirelessly to a MAC hardware device I have not found any info; all I have on the keyboard is the Apple_Wireless_Keyboard_2009_UG.pdf. It has shown me how to change batteries, but not much about various "blink" signals except it is on or off.
Could you refer me to any support source doc that would help using the keyboard with the iPhone & Pages, to see if Pages would be worth the $9.99 plus tax, before I spend the $9.99?
I hope this inquiry is more helpful to know my MACless situation. My daughter asked me if I wanted an iPhone for Christmas last year. I replied with some trepidation, Ok. It has been a fairly useful tool with many of the apps.
Thank you for your helping a very senior citizen,
