Nov 16, 2012 10:41 AM in response to JennC1972by kaiulanifromco,Wait. how did Cheesy's comments straighten you out? I'm having the exact same problem. I spent hours ordering 2GBs of songs on a shuffle i created for a gift for a friend, only to have them all copy in alphabetical order by Artist. To make it worse, when I printed out a song list so he could go through and mark songs he might want removed, the print out only prints out in order by song title! So it is completely useless as the gift I intended to introduce him to music!!!
This HAS to be a glitch! Apple hasn't become this brain dead, please!!!! Is there ANY work around?

Under the iPod summary tab, there's an option to "Manually Manage Your Music" or something to that effect. Once you select that, select Apply and then any changes you make under Edit Playlist will finally stick when you Sync again.
