Nov 15, 2012 8:33 PM in response to BigMikby sberman,Here's one piece of the puzzle that works in Mountain Lion. Your post says you're running Lion, so I'm not sure how much it applies:
Selecting Default Mail Account
Here's a second piece (also from Mountain Lion) -- this might be all you need:
In Mail, open Preferences (under Mail in the Menu) > Composing. Look at the "Send new messages from" line and select the account you want from the drop-down list.

Nov 16, 2012 5:42 AM in response to sbermanby BigMik,Hi SBerman,
I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that this is on my iPhone. (iPhone 5, iOS 6). I've looked through all of the mail, contacts and calendar preferences and can't seem to find a way.
ANy more help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
BigMik

Nov 16, 2012 12:51 PM in response to BigMikby sberman,Ah, you're talking about on your iPhone ... sorry, I should have known that because we're in the iPhone forum.
You should set Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Account to the account you wish to reply from. However, that won't help when you're replying to a message -- that will only help when you're sending mail from a different application (e.g., Photos).
To reply to a meesage yet have your reply come from a different account, you have to overtly change the "from" address of each reply message you create. When you think about it, your desire to have a reply come from a different address than the one the message was received at would not be very typical.
