I am having an issue that seems like hardware. (or wifi)  Apps are taking forever to download.  I even tried syncing apps the old fashioned way by choosing and syncing w iTunes via the USB..   20-30 of the apps showed up but never loaded.  I reset the device once to try again but still having the same issues.  Browsing the web is working (using the mini to type this post) and all other devices working fine.  I thought I read on another post that someone complained of a slow wifi issue but that doesn't answer the question of downloading via the USB????  Any help appreciated.

If you can browse the web you probably don't have a WiFi problem per se, however, you should check your WiFi router and PC to make sure that there is not a firewall installed which is blocking access to certain servers, ports, etc.

I'm having same problem with my ipad mini. I don't think it's a router or firewall problem.  I have an iPhone and it's downloading apps really fast.

Is your iPhone also running iOS 6.0.1?

Im having the same issue. I have 2 ipad mini's. one white and one black. Over my home network they take over an hour to download an app. Something is really wrong. Sometimes the apps time out because its taking so long. Reminds me back in the days of dial up. I need to find an answer to this problem before I give these to my kids for christmas!!!!!

I have the same problem. My iPad mini's wifi connection is sluggish. Even if the iPad mini is just next to the wifi router showing full signal strength.

    - I tried all the reset, reboot of router and iPad mini etc. options - didn't solve the problem

    Solution (for me)

    - I had a wifi repeater lying around the house and plugged it in (other floor in the house)

    - connected the iPad mini through the repeater (expecting even slower speeds)

---> BUT suddenly the iPad mini was zipping quickly over wifi via the wifi repearter to the wifi router

Nothing seems to be defect they just don't get along with each other - iPad mini and the wifi router

I assume an iOS update will resolve this issue - sooner or later...

I think the problem is IOS 6. a 12mb app take like 2hours to download on my ipad mini. so I went on my ipad 2 and download the same 12MB app and only take like a few seconds.

I also try to download different apps ranging from 500MB and same thing happen on ipad mini. My guess is somehow IOS 6 is the cause of this issue. on IOS 5.0.1 everything is super fast on my high speed connection. Speedtest show no problem with ISP. Hope they will fix this issue
