So I have an iphoto library on my older imac that is something like 330GB - way too big for the number of photos I have on it.  When I transferred over to my new imac it showed something like 100GB which still seems big but obviously far better.  Looking at my old iphoto library when I i look at the space the ipod photo cache shows up as 234 GB!  The masters file shows like 80GB.  What is the ipod photo cache and do I need it?  It obviously did not transfer over to the new machine.

Most of the extra space seems to be PhotoDatabaseReservex.tmp files.  But there are more recent ones labeled f1 - f50 each about 1GB.
