Try updating from Apple store and after that create new account for your dad as admin. Login as using your dad account and delete your account.
You will have a fresh air with only your dad setup.

Wait. Currently I'm runnign the latest OS with only my account. I don't understand what I should update?
After reinstalling the OS from the pendrive which I used with Recovery Tool (so it has the newest OS on it) I started the computer and no change happened whatsoever.

Before installing ML from the Apple store tough, what should I do?
Wipe disk clean and install whatever OS I have on the pendrive that came with my Air?
BTW - doesn't the rMBP come with such a pendrive?

All user-specific info is stored in the User library.
So if you create a new admin user account for your dad and then delete your "old" user account (in System Prefs/Users & Groups) that is all that needs to be done.
The rest of the system will be exactly the same.
So there is no need to do a "fresh install" to provide your dad a "clean" system.
Simply check for Updates in App Store to make sure the software is all up to date, then go to Users & Groups, create a new admin user account for your dad, then delete your own account. Just be sure to create your dad's new admin user account first.

I think the answer did not reply to the real question (which I have too). If the MB Air needs to be wiped and a clean install performed, how is that done? I can think of any number of scenarios, like selling it used, donation, etc. Appreciate an answer..thx!
